New track off Oxford quartet Low Island

The track opens up with a rhythmic build up and engaging vocals that over loop to create a dreamy track.

Listen to ‘Recent’ on Soundcloud:

The band has been highly compared to Caribou and Radiohead… a balanced mix of electronics and conventional instruments to create chilled-out, hypnotic rhythms.

They’ve already made a strong intro with their two previous tracks, with Radio 1 airplay from Huw Stephens and Phill Taggart, Radio 6 plays by Tom Ravenscroft, Virgin Radio by Georgie Rogers, as well as adds to Spotify UK’s Fresh Finds and New Indie Mix playlists.

The band is made up of impressive group of talented musicians – Frontmen Carlos and Jamie have held residencies in The Warehouse in Leeds and DJd at festivals such as Glade and Gottowood.

Drummer Felix has toured with Snarky Puppy, and performed with the band’s found member and pianist Bill Laurance.

They’re already looking forward to releasing more music in March, setting up nicely for a new year!
